Cooper Lake State Park, 3,026 acres, is situated in Northeast Texas. This prime recreational area contains a 19,300 acre lake and two state parks. It is located a few miles south of the City of Cooper. Doctors Creek Unit, located on the northeast side of Cooper Lake has more than 6 miles of shoreline including a beautiful sandy beach for swimming, a one mile nature trail and playground areas. There is an ADA approved 3-lane boat ramp with ample parking, 42 water and electric RV sites, 6 screened shelters and 2 cottages. This area is a haven for birdwatchers. South Sulphur Unit, located on the south side of the lake offers 14 fully furnished lakeside cabins, 21 screened shelters, 89 water and electric campsites and20 equestrian campsites as well as a 10.5 mile equestrian trail.
